Dremio Announces Sendur Sellakumar as Chief Executive Officer
Data and Cloud Leader, Sendur Sellakumar, joins Dremio as CEO to Take the Company to the Next Stage of Growth
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – July 5, 2023 – Dremio, the easy and open data lakehouse, today announced the appointment of Sendur Sellakumar as its chief executive officer. Sellakumar brings with him a wealth of experience in the enterprise technology industry and will lead the company in its next phase of growth. Sellakumar's expertise in driving growth and innovation, particularly at the intersection of cloud, software and data worlds, will be invaluable as Dremio continues to enhance its offerings across software and cloud services.
Sellakumar joins Dremio with over two decades of leadership experience in enterprise software and data analytics. He has a proven track record of driving business transformation, building high-performance teams, and delivering exceptional results with enterprise customers.
Prior to joining Dremio, Sellakumar served in a variety of software technology roles at Splunk and ServiceTitan. In particular, he was Chief Cloud Officer at Splunk, a leading data analytics platform. During his tenure at Splunk, he played a pivotal role in driving the company's product strategy and cloud business transformation, growing its cloud business to over $1 billion in ARR with thousands of enterprise customers. Sellakumar helped drive the growth of Splunk across multiple software and cloud business transformations. In addition, Sellakumar served as a technology investment banker at Morgan Stanley covering the software sector. Sellakumar advised customers on IPOs, capital structure, and mergers and acquisitions.
